The 1910 Sanborn Fire Insurance Map of Grafton, Wis. lists the department owning a "1 GASOL. ENG.". It is unclear at this time when the department purchased this engine. The engine is a horse-drawn apparatus with a gasoline powered, 3 cylinder, piston pump. The department kept the apparatus but unfortunately the original fire engine was damaged in 1967 in a fire along with all of the deparmtent's memorabilia.
In the Grafton Volunteer Fire Department's Centennial booklet noted that the engine was restored in 1968 by Ray Tiegs. This restored engine is now on display in the front lobby of the Grafton Fire Station.
